I’m Daniele Margutti, currently the Mobile Platform Lead at Immobiliare.it, where I drive the evolution of our mobile platform across iOS, Android, and Apps Backend Services.

Over the past five years, I’ve led the iOS area as Technical Team Leader, shaping architecture, workflows, and tools that help our teams build better, faster, and more consistently. I focus on clear design, technical depth, and practical impact.

I moved into this role after several years as Technical Team Leader for the iOS team. My focus is to evolve our mobile platform so it can better support the growth of our product, streamlining the delivery of new features and elevating the daily work of our talented engineers.

I covered this role for five years, guiding both the technological evolution of our product and the technical growth of the team. Among the most significant initiatives, I led the full rewrite of our main application from Objective-C to Swift, introducing a modular architecture and multi-country support. I also worked on the design and implementation of our internal CI/CD infrastructure, improving reliability and accelerating our delivery processes.

In 2012, I co-founded CreoLabs, an ambitious venture focused on building a new kind of visual tool for mobile application development. The project quickly gained momentum and ultimately drew the interest of Y Combinator, making us the first Italian company to be interviewed by YCduring the Winter 2014 batch.

I began developing for iOS in 2008, after several years working with Java. Throughout my career, I’ve had the opportunity to work as an indie developer, lead small teams, and mentor aspiring engineers, helping them grow their skills and confidence in the craft.
